Phu Quoc – an island that technically lies
south of Cambodia, but belongs to Vietnam –
until recently mostly consisted of a fishing community,
and known among Vietnamese for the fish sauce that
is produced there. The last decade or so, however,
has seen many changes and development, and today
there are a number of good hotels
and resorts, and a variety of water sport activities
offered at its popular beaches. It has remained
a little paradise though, with aquamarine water,
idyllic beaches, romantic sunsets and a serene island-style
