Vietnam Emergency & Health
Vietnam Information
As in every case of travelling to a new destination, precaution is a byword. Happily, in Vietnam's case, the only main health precaution is to avoid drinking tap water.
Tap Water Safety
Tap water should be avoided, even if it is marked as 'filtered and sterilised'. Drink bottled water with the seal intact.
Avoid having ice put in your drinks, except in large international hotels where it is usually safe.
Medical
No vaccinations required. Malaria prophylaxis no longer considered essential.
Innoculation against typhoid, tetanus, hepatitis A & B is strongly recommended, together with full medical insurance, including evacuation by air.
