Even if you are planning to spend just 3 or 4 days in Bangkok-you

is the name of our beautiful traditional teak wood rice barge,
which has been converted into a stylish and luxurious floating
hotel. We invite you to spend a night and a day on it with us.
With just 6 superbly outfitted airconditioned cabins (all with
private toilets and showers) the Mekhala has the feel of your
own private boat. Service from our friendly crew rivals that
of Bangkok's top hotels, and as you slowly cruise along Thailand's
"River of Kings"-the Chao Phya-you will feel like
royalty yourself!
Your journey on the Mekhala gives you a glimpse of the real
Thailand-traditional wooden riverside houses, glittering temples,
lush green jungle foliage, laughing children playing in the
water and a peaceful gentle pace. Leave the hectic rush of Bangkok
behind you!
A candlelight dinner is served on deck as you share experiences
with fellow guests. After a good night's sleep you wake to a
beautiful sunrise over the river and an early morning visit
to a riverside temple to make traditional offerings to Buddhist
monks.

Itinerary - Program 1
Bangkok
- Ayuthaya - Daily departure
at 14:30 hrs
Day 1 - Bangkok - Mekhala on the river
• 14.00 Transfer from hotel to pier and board
Mekhala Cruise
• 15.00 Depart Bangkok on the "Legendary
River Cruiser Mekhala,," the Chao Phaya River past Grand
Palace and Temple of Dawn.
Just after the sunset, the Mekhala docks at Wat Kai Tia, a Thai
temple set in a tranquil rural village. An exquisite
candlelit dinner of mouth-watering Thai cuisine is served on
the deck.

Day 2 - Mekhala - Ayuthaya - Bangkok
• A delicious breakfast is served on board then departs for Bang-Pa-In where your guide will await for
the visit of the Summer Palace.

Continue by long-tail boat to
the ancient capital of Ayuthaya.
• After a lunch at local restaurant, visit the idyllic ruins of
the once glorious capital destroyed by the Burmese.
• In the late afternoon, our air-conditioned mini-bus will return
you to your hotel in Bangkok.
Itinerary - Program 2
Ayuthaya
- Bangkok -
Daily departure at 8:00 hrs.
Day 1 - Bangkok - Ayuthaya - Bang Pa In
• 08.00 Departure from your hotel and travel
by air-conditioned mini-bus to Ayuthaya. Upon arrival, visit
to the archeological site of the once glorious capital destroyed
by the Burmese.
• Lunch at local restaurant and then travel
to Bang-Pa-In by long-tail boat to explore the Summer Palace.
After this visit, your guide will drop you off.
• Board the Mekhala and cruise down the Chao
Phya river to Wat Kai Tia for a candlelit dinner and overnight
on board in your air-conditioned cabin.
Day 2 - Mekhala - Bangkok
• After
a delicious breakfast on board, cruise down the river into Bangkok
passing spectacular views of the Grand Palace and the Temple
of Dawn.
• Arriving late morning in Bangkok and transfer
to your Bangkok hotels.
