About Cat Ba Island:

Located in a stunning setting in the south of Ha Long Bay, much of the Cat Ba archipelago is designated a national park. There is a lot to see on the island: lots of caves, grottos, beautiful beaches and crystal waters.

Ha Long Bay was added to UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994 with its outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest. The Bay is in the Gulf of Tonkin, and includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence.
