About Rawai:
At the southern end of the island, close to Nai Harn beach, lies Rawai, a nice shady beach with great views of the outlying islands, but a swimming beach as the tide goes out to the horizon! Lots of local restaurants along the beach make it popular with Thai holidaymakers who come from Bangkok to sample some of the freshly barbeued seafood under the casuarina trees. This is also an excellent starting point to hire a speedboat or longtail boat to the outlying islands of Ko Hae, Ko Lone and Ko Racha (Raya). |
