Bokeo

Tourist Destination in Laos

Located along the Mekong river, in the heart of golden Triangle opposite Chiang Rai province in Thailand and sharing the border with Myanmar, "Bokeo" means the Land of Sapphires.

It is the smallest Lao province and home to a large number of interesting minority groups.

Panning for gold, and digging for precious stones, such as sapphires are major occupations here.
