AGALIN is a unique home-resort on the North-eastern corner of Esan. Set in over 30 rais (15 acres) of mature English garden on the bank of Mekong river, the resort consists of seven accommodations of different styles ranging from a Laotian cottage to a Palladian villa. Each unit is self-contain, and has its own garden.
Agalin has little in common with most luxury hotels or resorts. It is, above all, a home from home. Formerly a private retreat, Agalin retains an old-world elegance with emphasis on tranquility and privacy.
The resort situates on a scenic route and many interesting sites such as Chiengkan, Phurua, and Nongkai are within easy reach. It is also possible to make a day trip to Vientien from Agalin.
As with most parts of Loei, the temperature here is cool for most of the year with heavy fog in the winter months adding an unworldly atmosphere.
